Well, I’m impressed by the number of people who wanted Eric’s template, but am disappointed to see there was no evaluation response posted. I’m new at this GTD stuff and Notebook and AM trying to get myself organized via my beloved iMac. So I did sort of come up with a way to do what I think GTD is aimed at. So herewith… Stickers: using a colored Star, changing the color of the star for the project. (Although it wd be tons easier to just use a capital Letter for each project!!) I use them for my “projects” in the big sense; i.e. in my case a real Project I’m working up; Selling my house and moving; a Research project in progress; a legal case I’m involved in and just “Me” stuff. I also use these topics for Divisions in Notebook and keep the tab colors the same as for the stickers. Keywords: I use key words for where/how to do things: Do-Of (home office); Do-Home (house stuff); Do-Out (outside the home); Call (calls); $$Earn (jobs); Buy; Call; Consider; Decide; Future. Anyway, then I just use the Indices to check on whatever combination I need to keep track of. Works great…so far, although to be honest, I’ve only used it for a bit. I do use the Notebook divisions as well for the projects with the to-do check boxes for stuff that needs to be done as opposed to just info/ideas. Anyway, anyone have any suggestions to better this scheme? Please do let me know if this works for y’all!

Why Circus Ponies NoteBook is Sui Generis

NoteBook is just a Super program! The learning curve is PERFECT for so many people like me. I spend less time TRYING to get organized and much more time actually SIMPLIFYING my life with it!! NoteBook is capable of so much & is feature rich! I like the way e-mail clippings are handled so easily. It makes the using of my graphics tablet for sketchs and handwritten notations a snap! What a cool, seamless program for GTD advocates! It is laid-out, looks like and works like a real paper notebook. NoteBook is, by far and “hands-down” the BEST program of its type. In terms of value for money spent I cannot think of a better value. I use it for the bulk of simpler-to-medium-tough work. However, when it comes to some more complex “stuff-crunching” I also use OmniFocus, OmniOutliner Pro and OmniWeb. Moreover, DEVONthink Pro is also a tool I find very helpful. Personal Brain is, for me, the best of the mind-mapping solutions.
