Once I get a valid SuperFind results page, two things I’d like to be able to do:

1) The output only lists the first line of the found entry. Any way to get it to show the whole thing without clicking on it?

2) I’d like to copy and paste the results to another page. I’ve tried the “Select All” and “Copy” but when I get to the other page to paste, nothing is there. I tried the Capture Selection From Screen, and that doesn’t allow pasting either.

Any hints here! I promise, I tried about everything this time :)

Thanks.

Capability to get a list by keyword by date (by kkathman)

Since I’m using CPNB as a work journal and using the keywords to tag them to a particular project Id, I’m looking for a way that you can SuperFind or query all pages to get a composite list of entries grouped by keyword.

The output would be grouped by keyword, and perhaps sorted by date created. Like this:

Keyword: Project100

entry 1 – created 2/1/2012
entry 2 – created 2/2/2012

Keyword: Project200

entry 1 – created 1/28/2012
entry 2 – created 2/3/2012

etc.

Can that be done? I seem to be able to do that in Springpad and Evernote, so I figure I’m just missing a technique here. Can someone suggest a possibility?

Thanks—
Korky

P.S. Well never mind… I found it, though it’s pretty obscure! LOL . The icon on the Super Find page next to the Super Find Results title seemed to be the answer.

I’ve embedded a pdf document with many pages into Notebook
for annotation, but I can’t seem to create links from one
page to another. The items inside the link menu are greyed
out. I can’t seem to create additional cells inside the
pages either. Any workarounds? Thanks.

That sounds like a really good way of meeting this kind of presentation need. I usually use Curio for this kind of task and that is really successful. However it does not handle longer texts as well as Notebook does and I have a lot of information in NB. Will give your suggestion a try next time. Thanks for sharing.

Highlight all of the lines in the checklist and hit ctrl cmd s

That will toggle all of the checkboxes. You may need to hit this sequence twice if some are checked and some are unchecked to begin with but it will give you what you want I think.

I should say that this command is also available via the Outline | Action Item menu.

I’m having this problem as well. Can’t quite figure out when it broke but looks like some time ago. I do a monthly export from my project diary exporting the ‘current’ section as an RTFD file. I’m running 3.1.1 on Lion 10.7.3 but it looks like it was broken before that. Would really like to see this fixed as its the best way for me to share in a format my client can use.

Hello Jim,

I just noticed that the messages you made to technical support somehow did not make it into the issue tracking system we use for some reason. As you saw, your got some automated responses from our system and we did receive the e-mail messages you sent, but they did not get processed (which means no one on our support staff ever saw them).

I am investigating this problem with the team that maintains that system. It appears to be a one time occurrence, but we want to track down the problem.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience.

Sorry – I meant that the images were visible with the post so that you could see both at the same time. Otherwise you flop back and forth reading the comments and looking at the image then reading the comments then looking at the image, etc, etc…

But this is better than having nothing at all.

After some more experiments i find a way to Have some linkback-Like support to handle not supported type of docs, cool.
I’ve buyed also ipad version and i must say that i find it very useful the main complaint are:
Not posssible to connect shape or stickies or drawings to outlines.
Buggy stickies.
Tricky management of cells.
Not possible to highlits pdf, that with a pen should be a must to have, imagine a way to extract only highlited text from pages to have an abstract.
And finally, a big problem for me is that is not possible to work with linked attachment also if the attachments are present in the drpbox folder.

We’re sorry for that oversight. This original request was added to NoteBook’s possible future features list just prior to our switching over to a newer, more robust bug and feature tracking system. Apparently and unfortunately, this request somehow did not make the transition. It is on the list now, though! :-)

By the way, if something is on NoteBook possible future features list, it means just that: It’s something we are tracking and may possibly implement in the future, but it’s not a guarantee that the feature will be implemented.

Thank you for noting this.
