Resizing the notebook..by christopher Pyle - 05:43PM, Oct 17, 2008 |

I noticed that I can only get notebook to display on my screen in two configurations. The original (which takes up about 1/3 of the screen space) and the enlarged (which takes up the whole screen). How do I resize notebook to be roughly 1/2 the screen size? In other words, can I enlarge the actual size of notebook without going full screen? I appreciate any help |

Haha, thank you so much. I searched forever. I knew it would be something really simple like that. — Last edited 08:56PM, Oct 17, 2008 |

I am rather sorry but I am also trying to re-size my NoteBook on the screen as did Christopher Pyle. However, the lines in the lower left corner that would allow me to do this are not there at all! I actually went there FIRST! Then I went through the menus and I cannot find a thing that will let me re-size the window. I have 3.0 (version 343). Help! Thank you, Anyse

I was later this night working on my Notebook project and went to actually look at the cover page for the first time. It is at this point that I could see that I could resize the notebook window! Problem solved! ANyse

Actually, you don’t have to resize from the Cover page. Just go to the Right bottom corner, not the Left one.

Not to hijack the thread, but… Is there anyway to lock the notebook size to prevent accidental resizing? I’ve set up the pages the way I like them with regards to spacing and formatting and would like to keep it that way.

That would be up to the window, and that’s OS X’ territory. You’ll have to look around, but I’m pretty certain it’s not possible. On the other hand, I’ve written a number of Applescripts to set a window to be a specific size, and in a specific location. There’s tonnes of those around.

I have a notebook with 200 forms listed. When the window automatically fills the screen, it’s very annoying and confusing to the user to go to the FAR RIGHT to click on a link. Is there a way to set the window size for the web user when you launch? For example, these forms will be used at work where the screen are 24 inches across – the title is on the left and the icon is WAYYYYYY over on the right side of the screen. I know to resize the screen, but other users will not. Is that the only solution, telling people to resize their screens?
