Cell Spacing with Numbering

Cell Spacing with Numbering

It seems a lot of people are having a problem like this, but I think i have a unique variation.

My cells were spaced evenly without extra lines until I tried to format them using the Harvard style of numbering. I want the font and the lines to be at 12pt font. I have tried using the”background” set cells to tallest, with no luck. It is so bizarre because I have made sure all the fonts are consistent and the same size, but whenever I add numbering to the outlines, it adds extra lines to all cells! That seems to be the only variable, because it is fine when I take the numbering out. Even making it miniscule doesn’t change it!

I would like to solve the spacing errors without changing the style of the notebook if at all possible (Same style: Bradley Hand ITC, same size 12pt.). I just want to add the number formatting to the cells without messing everything up.

Thanks for the help

Instead of setting the cells to the tallest cell height, try setting it to custom and adjust the size until the double spacing effect is gone. I’m going to explore this behavior a little more. I’ve had issues with it myself and the tallest cell height should make the adjustment alone.
