Custom numbering format

Custom numbering format

by wrothnie - 10:33PM, Mar 23, 2009

I have set up a custom numbering format in CP Notebook v 3. (It is
simply 1(a)(i)(A) for 4 different paragraph levels.)

Has anyone worked out how to set that as the default or apply it to
other pages?

The Help says:

Once you’ve customized a page’s background, format, tab, font or
numbering settings, use the Inspector’s Options tab to apply those
settings to other pages in the Notebook.

For example, you can set a Divider page’s tab to use a certain color
and font, and then choose an option from the Options tab to apply
those tab settings to other Divider pages in the Notebook.

However, if I go into the Options tab under the Page Font Inspector or
even under the Page Inspector, nothing happens and I have to set it
all up from scratch.

What am I doing wrong?

I just posted a similar Q. Perhaps we’ll get an answer.

In the meantime, is “Harvard” close enough to what you want? You’ll likely have to set it for each page, but it’s in the drop down list (instead of having to set each level separately).

I too would like to be able to establish a custom numbering scheme of my choice, and then save it so I don’t have to enter it manually for each new page.

I take it this is not currently possible…if I am wrong, please let me know!

If possible I would love to see this as a future feature.

Hi,
This isn’t possible currently, but it’s on our list of features to add. I’ll update the frequency to include your request. Thanks for your feedback.
