Can sticky notes keep their position when scrolling a page?

I have some text that I want to annotate with sticky flags. I put a flag with my note next to the text. But when I scroll the page, the flag stays in the same place on my screen, rather than in the same place on my page.

Is there are way to “pin” the flag, so that it always is in the same place with respect to the text, like it would be with a physical document?

Drag the note over the cell you want it to be attached, then hold Option until an arrow appears, and drop it. The note will be attached to the cell.

Thanks, Paolo. That seems to work well.

But I notice that when I scroll the page down, all the stickies that should be invisible (i.e. below the bottom of the window) just hang around on the bottom border. Anybody else notice this?

This works great with flags (and reminders), but what about sticky notes? Anyway to get them to anchor to the page in similar fashion?

Yes if someone could answer the original question, we’d all be appreciative. Is attached a sticky note to a cell not possible the way attaching a flag is?

No, Sticky Notes cannot (afaik) be pinned to cells.

Notes and reminders can be pinned. They are resizable. You can change the text font and color, but not the background color (the color of the flag or reminder).

Please fix this quickly, just bought notebook and this really makes it useless for me. In a REAL notebook my sticky notes dont slip to the bottom of the page but stay right in the place the attachement is required. Sorry, but this is really nonsense, same with lines and shapes. Another thing is you can´t print them….please fix it or the 40 Euros were for nothing….

I consider the fact that sticky notes can’t be anchored to the page (not even just a cell) as a serious shortcoming.

Please fix it as soon as possible.

Also I would consider highly desirable that notes can be oriented squarely and not slightly rotated with respect to the page.

Both the anchoring (no anchoring, cell, page) and the orientation (rotated, straight) should be selectable preferences.

This is a serious thing.

This is the workaround I use. Drag a ‘text’ shape from the shapes tool and type the text you want. You can colour the shape (yellow sticky), position it where you want and rotate the angle as you please (including vertical) using the shapes inspector.

Not quite the one step process of the sticky note itself but really quite easy. Of course you can add as many shapes to the page as you want, overlap them, etc. These shapes also turn up when you print (I tend to save as PDF).
