Two Printing Issuesby Strum Stephen - 05:42PM, Mar 06, 2010 |

I have been using NoteBook (NB) for about 3 weeks and find it to be an incredible application. My particular focus is medicine. I have read through 90% of the NoteBook 3.0 User Manual and annotated it but find a number of areas remain unclear to me. 1. I am using a 24 inch iMac monitor and for me to comfortably see the font in NB most of my entries have been made using an 18 font size. In NB, what you see on the monitor in terms of font size is what you see in the printed page. How can I comfortably work in NB on the computer and yet print out in a font size that is more appropriate, e.g. arial 12? 2. I am using Mac OS 10.5.8 and my NB command FILE: PRINT does not give me what is referred to in the NB User Manual as a “Print sheet” (page 89 of the manual). Currently, my only option is to print the page or pages if there are more than one Note Page. I cannot print a range, nor select Cover page nor do any customizing regarding page numbering. Lastly, in going through the User Manual I have made comments where an item is not discussed clearly and the user is likely to be confused. I wonder if Circus Ponies would be interested in seeing those comments. Thanks. |

Glad you like NoteBook! For #1, you could keep the typeface a Arial 12 and use the Zoom controls to view the page at 150%. The Zoom command is in the View menu and you can also access if you display the Navigation Bar (also accessible via the View menu). As for number #2, I just responded to your support request regarding that, but for the benefit of others: click the inverted blue triangle in the upper right of the Print dialog to reveal the full dialog’s options. We would love you comments. Please submit each comment as a separate inquiry via our support form. They will get looked at more quickly in that way. Thanks! ---
