sketch/drawing questions

by discocyborg - 08:59PM, Mar 06, 2010

Hi –
doing a trial of NoteBook right now, and I’m optimistic about the potential…as an artist I’m looking for a better “sketchbook” rather than the pen+paper. the ability to tag, search, and organize sketches + text notes in NoteBook is really appealing, and I have a few questions:

- is there a way to change the size of the eraser in sketch mode? (when flipping my Wacom pen over and using the “eraser” side, I was surprised that it actually brings up an eraser in NoteBook – well done!) the default is a little small for larger edits. can it be adjusted like the pen size?

- while I don’t want a lot of drawing options (the bare-bones simplicity of the drawing capability is great for sketching), I was hoping for some pressure-sensitive response to the tablet. thin, light lines for light touch – heavy bold lines for firmer pressure…
thanks!

Hello,

The eraser is set the same as the pen width. From the Ink icon’s menu in the toolbar, choose Set Pen Width and Color and you can do this here.

Pressure sensitivity should work, but the newest Wacom drivers and Notebook have some kind of issue where this is not working. We are looking into the problem. If you are using Leopard or earlier, you should be able to revert to an older version of the Wacom driver to get pressure sensitivity, but unfortunately that won’t work for Snow Leopard.

If you have other questions, you can also contact us at Technical Support here.
