HELP! Can't Open Notebookby chrissy88 - 05:43PM, May 10, 2008 |

I just went to open my notebook and when I try it tells me that my notebook “could not be loaded” and that “Its main data file is missing or corrupt. Do you want to create a copy using the Notebook’s data files or cancel.”My question is what should I do here? This was working fine 18 hours ago. I’ve had this particular notebook 6 months and have NEVER had a problem like this. Is there anyway to “uncorrupt” it? or, how do i even begin to deduce if it’s lost/missing or corrupted in the first place? Where should i look to find it?Help..plzzzz… |

I’ve been having this happen on several notebooks. I’m hoping that someone has an answer to this. The software has been unreliable enough that I can’t trust it to store information. This makes it completely useless. Thanks for any help!

You can try holding down the option + command keys when opening the corrupt notebook to rebuild the index, but for an issue like this, I recommend you contact our support team directly as there are a number of possible contributing factors to this behavior. And for those reading this thread, please remember to always backup your notebooks and any other important files. Travis
