Export single outline page ...

Export single outline page only?

by Alan H - 02:06PM, Jul 23, 2009

Greetings,

I’ve been impressed with NB during my evaluation! I’ve just tried the Export to Web function, which seems to work very well; however, I think what would be most useful for me would be to be able to export a single page (e.g., an outline page) rather than the entire notebook, which already contains a diverse array of material, not all of which I need or want on the web.

Is there a way to export a subset of a notebook (most likely a single notebook page) to the web?

Thanks,

Alan

Whether you export to the web or to disk, the first dialog after choosing one of these commands presents you a choice of exporting the Current page, All pages, or a range of pages.

Oops, didn’t see that the first time ‘round! Sorry about that. Now since each time you export some to all of one or more notebooks, you’re making duplicate copies of numerous folders and files (I’m not talking about uploading changes to files already on the web). Do folks just keep uploads in separate folders, one per notebook, or combine them (changing the index file names and probably other files/names accordingly)?

Thanks!

I keep all external files in their original position in my disks. They are obviously duplicated when exporting web pages from NoteBook, and this is enough to keep the web site coherent.

On a different level, I have not yet moved a notebook pointing to external files to a different computer. I don’t know if links are broken, and are restored when moving the notebook back again to the original computer.
