Hello Glen,

Yes, you can view PDF files within a Notebook. Here's how:

Select the cell in which the PDF is located.

Control-click the PDF and choose "View as File Contents" from the popup menu that appears. The files contents should display.

You can select the attachment and drag a corner to make it larger or smaller.

A small gray vertical toolbar should appear as well. Use this to step through pages or go to a specific page in a multi-page document.

You can also access these controls and more by selecting the attachment and choosing the Attachment pane of the Cell Inspector.

I think this should prove helpful to you.

Thanks,

I get that part. The viewing I would like is after the notebook has been exported to a website. I have several research papers I would like to post within a notebook and be able to page through them from the web.

Thanks,
Glen

Hello Glen,

Thanks for clarifying. If you Control-click the PDF file in your Notebook, you can choose HTML Export Options... from the popup menu that appears.

You can't page through a PDF file on the web like you can in NoteBook, but you could set the document to open in a new browser window, where you can page through it there.

FYI: Whatever page from a PDF that is displayed in the Notebook when you export it to HTML will be the page displayed on the web.
