Uploading to .Mac not sending all pagesby oschultz - 07:22AM, Sep 28, 2006 |

Hello,I am having some success uploading my 67 page notebook to .Mac; however, not all of the pages are making it. My cover and the first few pages work fine, but the majority do not get uploaded into the Sites folder. Any suggestions? Thanks |

I am having the same issues above. I have a 64 page notebook and when I click export to html and select a folder, only 50 pages are exported even though i selected all pages 1-64.

I'm also experiencing this problem. I'm using NB 2.1 (v252) on a Powerbook with 10.4.8. My notebook is about 90 pages total and its stops uploading after about 10 pages.

I too am having this same issue: I am using a Powerbook G4 to upload with Tiger 10.4.8 and Notebook version Release 2.1 (v252). I am publishing a 25 page notebook that I update weekly for my class notes and when I try to upload it says it completes a successful upload but when checked many pages are missing. I click on my table of contents and get this infamous page: http://homepage.mac.com/1/homepage404ErrorPage.html I have tried to publish one page at a time and it will not upload. It selects pages randomly (I can view pgs 1-4, 21, 23) but nothing else. I have also attempted to publish just changes and the entire document to no avail. Is this perhaps a .mac issue? I have iweb installed and the pages I publish there go into different folders on my idisk. [homepage.mac.com] v [web.mac.com] Is there any way to manually override the settings or a way to setup .mac as an FTP? I have tried this in both Safari, Firefox, and on a PC to see if it was a browser issue but am getting the error on all. Thanks to anyone that can help, I am a newbie to macs and a little baffled.

I was hoping to see a solution to this problem. I too am suffering from the issue of all notebook pages not being sent to my .Mac site. I can get around the issue by exporting to html and then using Transmit to FTP the files to my .Mac account... it works, but adds an extra step and isn't as efficient and that's what Notebook is all about :-) So... developer? Help? Please...

Same problem here - only the first few pages get uploaded. Attempts to access later ones get error 404.

Thanks, that's what I needed! Lots of stuff doesn't work with the GUI that works with FTP, all around the world. Can someone capture a session off the Terminal screen to illustrate this procedure? I'm guessing now and not getting a response, I've forgotten if I ever knew how to ftp to .mac; I used to use it to get files from apple.com, back when electrons were slower ....

For those who don't know: this is from the Terminal. (You know how to read manual pages in Terminal, right?) $ ftp ftp.apple.com Trying 17.254.16.10... I have a small 500k (new) Notebook project on .Mac and it is PAINFULLY slow to upload / synchronise. Plenty of other stuff on .Mac and always worked fine .... something to do with the file format perhaps????

Add my user name to the list of folks suffering from this bug.

Me too.... loads about 3-4 pages then stops and opens my browser.... rest of pages give error message... very frustrating and dont see an answer in this forum. Did anyone solve this bug or finds a work around (apart from uploading via ftp). Running PowerBook G4 with latest dead cat and newest NoteBook.

In general, if you can successfully export a Notebook to HTML on your local disk, this would likely sound like a .Mac/MobileMe problem rather than a NoteBook problem. As far as we are aware, exporting HTML Notebooks to .Mac/MobileMe works as expected (though quirkiness with .Mac/MobileMe would not be all that surprising). If you are having specific problems of the nature indicated in many of the posts in this thread, it's best to contact support here. That way we can specifically work with you. ---

I am having the same problem and have sent a support request in. But I am wondering if anyone might have a solution in the interim. Thanks!

I’m using dropbox to sync my notebooks between my machines. No problems to report

I am also having this problem. I publish to the web and many document pages upload properly, but many fail. NB 3.0 doesn’t give me an error – it just fails online. — Last edited 10:40PM, Sep 25, 2008 |

Robb, Are you archiving the notebook’s first? I had problems with omnioutliner files because they are packages, and I am concerned that there might be similar problems with notebook. Vivian
