Please accept my apologies for the delay in getting the public announcement online. It has been a bit hard to type with both arms in plaster / brace.

An updated (albeit less featured compared to previous years) version of my dayBook Template is now available for download.

It can be temporarily downloaded via this link: 2012 dayBook – Edition 9v27r1

This link does not track who downloads it, nor does it give me a count of how many times it is downloaded.

I would appreciate you letting me know you downloaded it. In return I’ll make sure you get notification when the more featured version becomes available. Just email me, petert89 at gmail.com with the subject ‘dayBook 9r3 notification’.

NB; Disclaimer:- To transfer the contents of one version to another you do need to manually select the stuff you typed / entered in the previous version and copy-paste it to the corresponding page in the updated template.

What is this Template?
It is a NoteBook document set up as you would pretty much expect a ‘Day to a Page’ Diary. The NoteBook has 13 main custom (tab) sections pre-set. One of these custom sections, ‘Notes +’, contains approximately 30 additional (non ‘day’) pages, such as:

Intro Notes – - a somewhat extended summary of the Template contents
FAQs – - some answers to commonly asked questions on the Template
Links – - some useful / suggested URLs (not yet all re-validated as at 2012.02.05)
Software I use
Access Keys (ie., passwords)
Various Budget pages
Family Days – 2012 (for birthdays, etc, it’s hard to keep track of 14+ direct descendants)
General Notes / Info 2012
Gift Ideas – 2012
Quotations & Thoughts of Worth
Reminder Pages (incl Books to Buy, Music to Buy, Movies, etc)
Special Days – 2012 (meant for Public Hols)
TV / Movie Release Dates – 2012
TV / Movies Watched in 2012
2011, 2012 & 2013 Calendars

2012 Tab
Has two full year calendars for 2012, one with standard month / dates (week starting on a Monday) and the other in Julian Days, i.e., days 1 – 365 for the year. These include week numbers according to ISO 8601.

Month Tabs
There are 12 ‘month’ tabs / sections with each containing the following pages (Feb 2012 example):

2012.02.01-Wed
2012.02.02-Thu
etc., thru to
2012.02.28-Tue

‘NA’s’ (ie., ‘Next Actions’, those cells with a Checkbox) are automatically listed on this page.

Please Note: Due to health considerations and work commitments this public ‘r1’ release of the 9th Edition release does not yet include many of the features previously included in last years 8th Edition.

The main items still missing are:

days elapsed / days to go for the year at the top of each day page.
the calendar hyperlinks to the respective page(s)
the sticky flag hints and tips in the Notes+ section

I hope to incorporate these and other oversights in an r3 release in the next few weeks now that the plaster is off and I can work without the braces for short periods of time.
