How to create a template?

Hello,

Can anyone explain how to make a template in Notebook?

Essentially, I’ve created a new notebook, and have my colors, fonts, settings, etc., the way I like them. Is it possible to create a new notebook and somehow transfer these settings to it?

Obviously, I do mean settings beyond what’s available in the Preferences, but what I’ve set up using the Inspector.

File | Export .. to xx.nbpb

THAT’s your template

Get a Finder view of the said .nbpb file,
open CP, create a new notebook, drage the CP program smaller so you can see the Finder on screen also.

Option + Left Click and Drag the .nbpb file onto the open Notebook (see the + sign ?)

Once it is dropped, the characteristics and any content of the .nbpb template should have been added in to your open and waiting notebook. Save.

I don’t know about notebook attributes you have set with the Inspector. – Please report!

Alternatively, just keep it unused, and each time you want a new NoteBook open it and Save_as.

Many applications use OS X’s built-in “Stationary Pad” feature. I don’t think NoteBook does (it’s grayed out on my Mac).

I’m looking for a one click solution to a ready available note taker template to us during meetings; i need title, venue, attendees – basicaly all the info from the entry in my diary. i then need three simple columns for who, what, when in which i can free type, add todo’s linked to Entourage, highlight and coloir code.

i used to use OneNote which made all of teh above VERY easy but now I have MAC i’m struggling to replicate this simple note taking layout. Also in OneNote there was an icon in Outlook that enabled me to open a new page from outlook in OneNote with all the meeting details populated and ready to go….does CP have a similar feature?

So far CP is not as impressive as OneNote!!

please help.
