DayBook 2010 7th Edition - A (GTD) NoteBook Templateby petert - 04:59PM, Dec 21, 2009 |

Hi NoteBookers. The 2010 (7th Edition) of my dayBook Template is now available for download. To obtain the link to download a copy please either email me at: pettri#ozemail.com.au [substitute @ for #] with
as the subject (without the quotes). This is the fastest way, I check this account at least twice a day. OR Leave a message in this thread, which I will get a notification of – PLEASE remember to include your email address, either directly in the request [preferable] or at least in your profile.
============ NB1: Although most emails are replied to within just a few hours please allow 36 hours before you think you might have been missed as sometimes I have to (pretend) to work so I get paid each month. I do however ask that you keep the URL to yourself – one of the rewards I get from distributing the template is knowing with a reasonable amount of certainty how many copies have been distributed. Trivia: For 2010 it was 775 successful transfers up until 2009.12.18-Fri AEDT NB2: Some replies have bounced – see note at end of this spiel ==================================== What is this Template? It is a NoteBook document set up as you would pretty much expect a ‘Day to a Page’ Diary. The NoteBook has 13 main custom (tab) sections pre-set. One of these custom sections, ‘Notes +’, contains approximately 30 additional (non ‘day’) pages, such as:
Several of the pages have starter (inline) tables on them to make their use a bit easier. 2010 Tab In addition each date in both calendars comes with Hyperlinks (all 730 of them) set to the related page in the dayBook. Month TabsThere are 12 ‘month’ tabs / sections with each containing the following pages (Jan 2010 example):
Next Actions Tab ’Next Action’ items (ie., those cells with a Checkbox) are automatically listed on this page. ============ New this Year The first group of characters indicate that ‘today’ is day 7 (sunday, monday being day 1) of week 18 in 2010. Further, the final group of characters show that it is day 129 of the year with 236 days remaining in the year. Clicking the URL Sticker beside this sub-title will return you to the date (day num) on the 2010 Julian Days Calendar. From this point it is relatively easy to add or subtract x days and click on that ‘day number’ to jump to the related day page in the body of the template. i.e., on the Julian Day Calender add 45 days to ‘129’ arriving at ‘174’, click on ‘174’ and you will travel to page 217 of the dayBook, ‘2010.06.23-Wed’. Not So New – Next Actions ==================================== ReadMe – Failed Sends
Don’t bother sending me abusive eMails about how I ignore your continued requests or take hours to respond – I am in a different time zone (the future) to most of my ‘customers’ so am often asleep when you are awake. A simple follow-up [polite] request [after approx 36 hours] noting that I may have overlooked your initial request will more likely result in my re-attempting to get you the link. I WANT to help you to get my template. Any and all senders of abusive emails have been and will continue to be instantly and permanently blacklisted by adding the source eamil to my Spam list and thus will be deleted before I even see the additional abuse. ============ NB: I am unable to email to ‘comcast’ addresses, please use an alternative if you have one. ==================================== Special Thanks: 2009.12.22-Tue 03:14 (AEDT) To Steve F for the Julian days suggestion. IMO it is the best change / addition in this years Template. Send Fails – Bounces – to date – 20100108-1112 AEDT The above names are deliberately not complete – if you asked and did not receive you should be able to recognise your email. Feel free to ask again using a different email address. ---

Hi Pete…two things…thanks very much for the new agenda… and I was wondering…I tried to change the text font after the ‘Next Action’s section so when I type in new text in paragraph form it isn’t bold like ‘Next Actions’, I’m leaving it trebuchet 11pt but want it ‘regular’ for weight. I succeed in doing this, but I guess how i’m doin’ it I’m screwing up the formatting elsewhere, like the calendar pages for 2010/2011…it changes the text there too… So, is there an easy way to do this without reeking havoc throughout my agenda? thanks Morris

Momo, I’m guessing you’re applying the change to ‘All Note Pages’, Try applying the change to ‘All Note Pages within this section’. That should only make the change for the Month that you are in. If that doesn’t work feel free to email me direct and I’ll see what we can work out for you. ---
Have a Great day!

Hi, Every page appears to be in “paragraph” mode. How do I turn that off globally? The setting in Preferences is set to “Ends editing of that cell” but it appears to be overridden by the local setting of the page itself. Regards, Rob…
