DayBook 2008f - A GTD Notebook Template

by petert - 03:18PM, Sep 17, 2008

Greetings Fellow Notebookers.

It appears there was a minor hiccup in the transfer of the olde forum posts to the new version and for some reason the Gremlin in charge of mangling things picked on all three of my Notebook – GTD Template posts, 2006, 2007 & 2008.

I have just recovered the content of the 2008 GTD post and it, in edited form follows below (thank you wayback machine):

= = = = = = = = = = =

IMPORTANT NOTE: I am unable to send the template to gmail.com or excite.com emails – they bounce back EVERY TIME.

It is now Sept ‘08 and so far this year I have sent out 450 copies. To those that have written back and thanked me and especially to those who followed up with my request to ‘If you find this useful please consider donating time or money to preserving any of the myriad lifeforms that inhabit our planet” I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

= = = = = = = = = = =

Now the spiel:

For those of you new to my template here is a (not so) brief outline of what it is.

It is a NoteBook document set up as you would pretty much expect a ‘Day to a Page’ Diary. The NoteBook has about 15 tabs [sections] pre-set.

Notes+ Tab
—contains various note sections such as
- the intro ‘How I use it’
- Books / Articles of Note I Have Read – 2008
- Expenses / Budget Control – 2008
- Family Days – 2008 (for birthdays, etc)
- Health / Medical Notes – 2008 (hopefully to get little use)
- Purchase Reminders – Books – 2008
- Purchase Reminders – Music – 2008
- Sources / Gift Ideas – 2008
and a few others

2008 Tab
—Has a full year calendar for 2008

Month Tabs
—There are 12 ‘month’ tabs / sections with each containing the following pages: Jan example;
- Special Days / Events / Notes – Jan 2008
- 2008.01.01-Tue
- 2008.01.02-Wed
etc., thru to 2008.01.31-Thu

—Each ‘day’ contains a section at the top entitled.
- New Action Items, followed by a half page width underline divider

Details on how I use this are included on the Intro page in the template.

Next Actions Tab
—This is actually a Tab attached to the in-built ‘To Do Items Index’ page of the NoteBook.

Details on how I use this are included on the Intro page in the template.

= = = = = = = = = = =

That pretty much covers it – if the above description sounds interesting and you would like a copy please email me direct at

pettri#ozemail.com.au [substitute @ for #] with

‘dayBook_2008 – A NoteBook Template’ as the subject.

[This is the fastest way, I check this account a minimum of 3 times a day.]

OR

Leave a message in this thread which I will get a copy of – PLEASE remember to include your email address, either directly in the request [preferable] or at least in your profile.

IMPORTANT: No email address – no template. Sorry.

[Note: Although most emails are replied to with a few hours please allow 36 hours before you think you might have been missed as sometimes I have to (pretend) to work so I get paid each month.]

---

Have a Great day!
   pete.
