If you are using Notebook for Mac, you’d locate them in the Finder and delete them there.

If you are using NoteBook for iPad, you can delete Notebooks in the My Notebooks view by tapping the trash icon.

yebdox – youre sooo right. Its completely useless for taking notes if you want to print them out to study – Also, everything you annotate moves around every time you reopen a notebook making annotating or placing ANY kind of arrow, scribble etc into your notes useless and very distracting seeing that they just migrate to random places on the page. Ive even had them “magically” appear in far away pages that have no relation with the comments they contain. Its hard to believe this was made for Mac given the complete randomness of the interface – Ive had to redo ALL my notes BY HAND (talk about wasted hours) just to get away from this thing until someone from customer service can answer/solve a single of these multiple bugs – still waiting to hear back….

Hi Emily,

This might help.. lets say you want to add ‘Drink’ after ‘Grapes as a new heading with some indented stuff underneath just press CR then up arrow and TAB (this un-indents) type ‘Drink’
then CR and TAB and you’ve got a new indented sub section. If you want to bung a blank line in just press CMD followed by CR.
To summarise .. type grapes CR UP ARROW TAB Drink CR TAB Beer etc. – I’m sure someone knows a better way but this does it for me!

Okay…I’m brand new to this and need some help…

I’m a college student..so I plan on using this for taking notes.
Everytime I want a new bullet I have to like the plus sign and then add new item.

Example:
Food
(indent) Apple
(indent) Pear
(indent) Grapes

Now I want to add a new bullet (like food) I have now..how can I do this without having to click add new item everytime…I feel like I’m making this harder than it is..can anybody help?

Hello. I love NB so far, but I’m having trouble figuring out how to add more titles in the same page, and without having to format the font style of the titles each time I need to add one. Is there a simple way to add a title in a page with a single click?

Hi,
I’ve just got the demo licence and as I try different features I realize I can’t create new “Tasks” nor Internet adresses. Is it beacause of the trial licence or is there some kind of bug in my software ?

Hi,

Trying out CPN. Have 2.0 but never used it, thinking about 3.0 for an important and specialized project.

I have the project outlined in another app and have exported it as text and cleaned it up as the OPML file would not import into CPN.

My outline is in the the normal type structure

topic 1

info about topic 1
more  info about topic 1

topic 2

info about topic 2
more  info about topic 2

topic 3

info about topic 3
more  info about topic 3

What I would like to do is import the file and have it placed into dividers by topic and each line of info text into a separate page.

Is there any way to do that?

I can add any kind of EOF characters using BBEdit to facilitate the import.

Any info/advice is much appreciated.

Hey all,

I’ve been using Notebook in a fairly simple way—regular Note pages with some nested cells here and there, along with keywords, but generally very few images, a smattering of links, and no clippings.

Each “tab” of the notebook is devoted to a single class, and I have a class final coming up on Tuesday. I’m required to have printed notes, and I want to make sure everything I’ve taken notes on—all the sub-sections for the class, the keywords, etc.—print properly.

What are the best settings or other things I should do to prep my Notebook for printing?

I have lots of notes, so I’m probably going to go to a professional printer and have just this one class’s notes bound.

This is my exact problem too. (actually I have many but this is the one I am working on now).
How about .docx to .opml converters? Does that exist?

You can use the List command in the Text submenu of the Edit menu (this is an OS X wide capability available to all applications), but this is not as capable as the NoteBook outlining found on a Note page. The list command works more in the style of a basic text editor.

The ability to create Note-page style outlining for a Cornell Note Taking page is on NoteBook’s possible future features list.

Sure, you can make each top level of the outline a separate Note page (see the Contents page and the Note Page command in the Page menu). Then select the children of each item and then cut and then paste them to their new corresponding Note pages.

I’m using Notebook for making note outlines. However, these have become rather large and I would like to create a Table of Contents that lists the first three levels of the outline and the page number it can be found on. Is there a way to do that?

This is the tab well. It’s the same tab interface that’s used in TextEdit in Snow Leopard and earlier versions of Mac OS X. The first two icons are left and right tabs, the third is a center tab and the last is a decimal tab.

Tabs apply to each paragraph of text specifically, so you need to have an insertion point cursor visible for them to work. You drag them to the ruler and when they “touch” the ruler, they stick.

On the top left of the ruler bar there is an oval containing 4 symbols, left-facing triangle, right-facing triangle etc. I can drag these onto the ruler itself, but they don’t seem to do anything. What is each one actually for?

I’m a newbie and still finding my way around this software. Any idea how I can get an animated GIF to work? I drag it in but it just places a single image. I saw something in a previous post about a media frame but I’m not even sure what that is.

Wondering if there is an easy way to retain my bullet (bullet children, only bullet cell with text, 1/a/i etc.) properties. It is frustrating to go back and set it up every time.
