Is there any way of expanding the title of any page/divider page into two lines? Thanks!

There is no way to extend the page title beyond one line. Do you mind if I ask why you would need to do this? Is it simply that you have a very long title page?

Thanks,

I’ll add my voice to this, and say that academic writings do sometimes have very long chapter titles, somehting like “I-2) Outlining software issues during the early XXI Century. The case of NoteBook version 3.0 and its impact in the writer’s community.”

:-) Nice title.

A possible workaround, perhaps obvious, but with a twist.

Title the page whatever you want, but not the actual chapter title. So, for instance: “1-2”.

Use the first line of the Note Page for the title. Either add a blank line to the cell ({command}+{enter}), or add a blank cell. Then start the page contents in the next cell.

If you use auto-formatting by level, and you want the title to be formatted differently than the top-level contents cells, indent all the contents cells (you will have only one top-level cell, the title cell).

Note that the page inspector includes an option to not show the page name (title). This works well in the situation under discussion, but you have to remember that the page name will show on the Contents page and on Divider Pages, but won’t show on the page it names.
