I use Notebook now for almost everything where I do not need a formal layout (where I would use Pages, or lord help me Word) but there is one feature of these other two applications that I really, really miss. At least I have not found a way of turning this feature on if it does already exist.

That is auto-correct. The spell checker politely tells me every time I have left the first letter of a paragraph uncapitalized, the personal “I” in lower case, the ”’” missing from short forms of words etc, etc.

However, Pages and Word HELPFULLY auto correct these, and many other things, a feature I have found to be a hugely useful productivity aid when I am producing large amounts of text.

Is this a feature I have not discovered? Or am I, right now, making a plea for it to be introduced :-)

Hi Jimbo,
NoteBook does not currently have an auto-correct feature, but I will add this to our list of possible future features. I have relied on this feature in Word and Pages for years and I think it would do well in NoteBook. Thanks for your input.
