I am currently using the latest version of notebook, my system snow leopard with 64bit.

The problem is when I toggle from mouse to writing or sketch when I try to sketch in the main area initially before going to the left side area first the cursor stays neither in mouse mode or writing mode. It seems the I have to go to the left area first and tap the page then I can write in the main area. Why is that and is there any way to fix this problem?
