Elaine,
What are you wanting to sync? NB tasks can sync to iCal and can then sync to the iPhone from there. Is that what you are going for?

I admit only recently bought a phone really capable to connect to a Mac. Before each "mission", I update my iCal agenda with NoteBook activities, then sync iCal with my phone. Quick, easy, effective. I guess it is the same with the iPhone, or any other phone featuring an agenda.

One customer has reported to us that iCal does not sync any notes or tasks with the iPhone, only calendars. However, you can sync NoteBook action items with due dates as iCal events (you can choose this option in NoteBook's Preferences (To Do Lists pane).

Current iphone version does not sync tasks with iCal.

However,if you have a .Mac account, tasks that are stored in .mac (as opposed as "stored in my Mac") are visible in the .Mac account in the iPhone, as mail messages. Not very convenient though.

I would love to see an iPhone/iPod Touch version of Notebook. I’m not sure how practical/difficult that would be to code, but I would at least like to see my Notebooks on my iPod. If I could edit from my iPod and then sync the two somehow, I would be in heaven.

I just started with Notebook (use another Mac program that DOES sync w iPhone, which I LOVE LOVE LOVE to do).

It’ll be good to see if it happens (hint)

One indirect way to get Notebook contents to an iPhone (or in my case an Ipod Touch) is to use NoteBook’s Export facility to create a word processing file, then use an iPhone/Touch app like AirSharing to port it to the iPhone/Touch. A bit clunky, but works.

Ok, peeps, I’ve found a solution for moving notes from a Notebook to a NON-jailbroken iPhone/Touch FAIRLY easily. I do think it’s less clunky than AW’s suggestion.

NEEDED:

PhoneView for the Mac desktop (or lappie) to which the phone syncs

MacWorld article on PhoneView: http://www.macworld.com/article/133796/2008/06/phonedrive.html

===
1) Export the notebook (current page or entire thing or range of pages) to RTF file(s).

2) Fire up PhoneView (actually, it should start when you plug in the Phone/Touch).

3) Make sure “Notes” is high-lighted in PhoneView; you will see any of your existing Phone/Touch-based notes in a list.

Drag and drop the exported RTF page(s) to the list of existing notes.

PhoneView will chug a bit and reboot your phone, but when it does, voila, your notebook is there (as one long file or a series of individual ones), accessible and EDITABLE. Changes are synced back to PhoneView when next you connect.

TO GET DATA FROM PHONEVIEW BACK TO NOTEBOOK:

Again, drag and drop. I literally grabbed the note from PhoneView and dragged it to an open Notebook. It gets appended as if a regular clipping service.

I know this isn’t a perfect sync but it’s an easy way to get entire notebooks onto the iPhone/Touch, be able to edit them AND get those changes back to a Notebook. That’s not bad.

I’m using new ,,Plan” app. It works like calendar and task manager in one. Simple. You can move your events just Drag&Drop, fast navigate,it even tries to guess time of your event.
Really cool!!
