I'm a Registered Nurse working in an Oncology clinic. Keeping up with web resources concerning this area of medicine has been greatly facilitated with the use of NoteBook.
Any other medical-types out there filling their NoteBooks with medical topics? |

Can you elaborate a bit about how you are using NoteBook for these purposes?

This is an evolving area. The initial idea was to categorize Cancers by body area. This classification system is for my professional education. All the information on major cancers are well covered in pamphlets published by the NIH. Occasionally, we, at our clinic, find there is no patient information available for certain diagnoses. An example is, Monoclonal Gammopathy of Uncertain Significance (MGUS. A quick overview can be seen at http://www.hmds.org.uk/myeloma.shtml). I research these areas for the Doctor and produce a one or two page pamphlet for his approval. I print a master for copying and patient distribution. Having arcane information available for immediately distribution is a tricky proposition. Updates are rather frequent. This is where I have been watching the discussion concerning web publishing. I have been toying with the idea maintaining a NoteBook, on the web, so as this information (arcana) would be available for me to print while at work in the clinic. This is an evolving process, as you no doubt appreciate.
